Pan-seared Brussels
Looking for a quick and easy side dish? This is one of my favorites!
Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts
- Red onion
- 1 tbl Butter
- Garlic powder
- Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Just slice up some Brussels sprouts and red onion. Add a tablespoon of avocado oil or better to a pan, then add onion. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- Then add Brussels and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add more oil if the pan is dry. Let cook for a few minutes before stirring so the Brussels get nice and seared. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes or until the veggies are crisp-tender. Take off heat and put a lid on the pan and let sit for a couple minutes until you’re ready to serve (they will soften a bit more as they steam in the closed pan).
- I usually have these along side some grilled fish or chicken. This time I had it with some blackened salmon (wild-caught of course ??). Even if you thought you hate Brussels sprouts, give this one a try...so much yummy flavor! It’s all in how you cook them.
